These last few months have been an unprecedented time for human-I-T for many reasons. While the shutdown has caused many difficulties, they have shined a light on the need for digital inclusion now more than ever. Through our efforts, we have been able to assist thousands of people in getting the technology they need to stay safe, informed, and connected these past few months.
To meet these needs, we have grown the team considerably, hiring 22 people last week, bringing our staff to almost 80 people! This includes bolstering existing teams such as our fabulous Subscription Specialists, who help people get connected to low-cost, high-speed internet, to expanding our Tech Support team as they assist over 51,000 Detroit students.
One of the significant upsides about this growth is getting to meet a bunch of new faces (virtually, of course!) who are passionate about giving back to the community. Here are what a few of our new team members had to say about recently joining human-I-T:
