The Smart & Final Charitable Foundation has awarded human-I-T a grant to provide students with access to technology and help them excel in the digital era. With the support of Smart & Final, human-I-T will be able to connect 100 families in South and East Los Angeles that do not have personal access to technology. These donations will equip students with essential access to homework assignments, research tools, and college applications. According to a report from the Pew Research Center, “about five million households with school-aged children are mired in the homework gap, because they can’t afford broadband.”
The Smart & Final Foundation focuses giving to hunger relief, health and wellness, K-12 education, emergency response and disaster relief, youth development and youth sports.
