Mozy employee James Jolley recently wrote about human-I-T’s technology donation programs, in The Mozy Blog’s post “When Old Tech Becomes New Tech”. Jolley noted that technological advances create limited lifespans for smartphones, tablets and other technology.
As we continue to upgrade to the next best thing, we either recycle our devices (creating e-waste) or throw them in a drawer or closet. human-I-T continues to raise awareness about better options than using an electronics recycler for your technology. Instead of sending your technology out to pasture, our smart humans will give new life to your devices and make sure they are distributed those that really benefit from them.
To quote The Mozy Blog, “68% of consumers are stockpiling old devices.” Let’s put an end to this by promoting reuse and solving the problem together.
