This is an exciting blog to write.
After many months of careful collaboration between our teams, we’re nearly ready to unveil the new version of our eCommerce platform – the Human-I-T Store – that will debut on Monday, October 4th, 2022.
Previously known as HITConnect, the Human-I-T Store will offer users the same ability to buy low-cost computers, hotspots, and other digital devices as they had when using our old platform.
Only now, users will be able to browse and shop for low-cost devices and low-cost internet plans on a mobile-friendly platform that’s (we think) much prettier and easier to use.
That being said, we wanted to walk our users through some of the most important steps they need to take in order to use the new site effectively.
How to reset your password and access your account on the Human-I-T Store
Existing Human-I-T customers will need to reset their password in order to access their account. To begin resetting your password, click on the words “Sign in” at the top right corner of the homepage.
Once you’re on the sign-in screen, you should see the words “Forgot your password?” to the left of the green button that you click to sign in. Click the words “Forgot your password?”.
You should now be looking at a screen like the one below that’s titled “Reset Password”.
Now, enter the email address you used when you signed up for your Human-I-T account and click the green button that says “Reset password”.
An email will be sent to your inbox that contains a link you will need to click to verify your email address. After you’ve clicked that link, you will be given the option to create a new password and login. All passwords must be seven characters long and contain letters as well as at least one number.
Once you’ve created a new password, you should be able to access your account for the Human-I-T Store. Now, let’s talk now about how you can save a credit card to your Human-I-T Store account.
How to save a credit card to your account on the Human-I-T Store
Saving a credit card to your Human-I-T Store account is a very simple process. To start, sign in to your Human-I-T Store account using the steps above.
Then, once you’re on your Account page, select the third option in the menu on the left hand side which reads “Payment methods”.
Now, click on the words that read “Add new payment method” below the big plus (+) bar on the screen.
After you’ve entered your credit card information, go ahead and click the green button on the bottom right side of the screen that reads “Save payment method”.
By now, you should be able to access your account, reset your password, and manage your payment methods!
Now, let’s dive into the different ways to pay for low-cost internet subscriptions you’ve purchased through the Human-I-T Store.
How to pay for low-cost internet on the new Human-I-T Store
Same as before, start by signing in to your Human-I-T Store account and going to your Account page.
Once on your Account page, select the last option from the menu on the left hand side of the screen that’s titled “Manage Subscriptions”.
If you don’t want to use Autopay, you can choose to pre-pay for low-cost internet for one month, three months, six months, or twelve months at a time. Select the amount of time you want to pay for and then click the button that reads “Add More Time”.
After you’ve selected the amount of time you want, you will be prompted to complete your Check Out.
If you want to Autopay for low-cost internet on a recurring basis, click the tab that says “AutoPay”. Then, select the amount of time you want to purchase internet service for before your next charge. Next, click on the checkbox to accept the terms and conditions and click the button that says “Enable AutoPay” before proceeding to Check Out.
But what if you want to enable or disable AutoPay in the middle of a current subscription to Human-I-T’s internet service? How do you do that? Well, we’ll show you!
How to enable or disable AutoPay on your account for the Human-I-T Store
Start by first signing in to your account and then navigating to the “Manage Subscriptions” tab of your Account page.
If you have an active subscription for low-cost internet through Human-I-T, you should see the status of your subscription on this page. Below your subscription information will be a box with two tabs, one that reads “Renewal” and the other “AutoPay”. Click on the tab titled “AutoPay”.
If you’re not currently enrolled in AutoPay, you’ll have to select the amount of time you want to access the internet before your next charge. Then, you’ll need to click the checkbox to accept the terms and conditions of AutoPay before clicking the button that reads “Enable AutoPay”.
If you are currently enrolled in AutoPay and want to disable it, simply click on the checkbox to accept the terms and conditions of your current contract. Then, click the button that should read “Disable AutoPay”.
After clicking that button, you will be unenrolled from AutoPay and you will no longer be charged automatically.

While our old platform served us well for nearly a decade (can you believe that?!) we’re glad to give our customers the user experience they deserve.
Once it’s launched, the new Human-I-T Store will represent the epitome of our mission by making it easier than ever for individuals to find and access the digital resources and connections they need to uncover new opportunities and unlock their full potential.
