From almost the very beginning, human-I-T has been proud to partner with eBay. We have been able to distribute over 50,000 refurbished items of technology to people through our eBay store, and that number continues to grow! In addition to helping us keep electronic waste out of landfills by giving us the platform to redistribute valuable technology, eBay has helped us increase our positive impact even more during Earth Week 2020.
Through eBay’s Give @ Checkout program, eBay shoppers are given the opportunity to donate funds to a charity of eBay’s choice when they are in the process of completing a purchase. eBay shoppers can choose how much they’d like to donate, and eBay makes the donation process simple and quick. During Earth Week, human-I-T was honored to be featured as eBay’s Give @ Checkout partner. In the course of just one week, eBay shoppers donated $23,255 to human-I-T!
Thanks to this generous crowdsourcing effort, human-I-T will be able to use this funding to support our COVID-19 response of providing low-income families with the digital resources they need to stay safe, informed, connected and educated while respecting the stay-at-home orders. We are actively working to ensure technology is provided to the most at-risk populations of people who need access to telehealth, school work, employment, government updates, and more. We are grateful for eBay’s ongoing support, partnership, and collaboration.
