“To end homelessness in the Greater Glendale Area, one person, one family at a time by providing an array of housing and support services that lead to greater self-sufficiency.” This is the mission statement of Ascencia, a homeless shelter in Glendale.
The Ascencia, Glendale service center was formed to provide coordinated services for homeless residents in the Glendale area. Ascencia takes a comprehensive approach by helping the homeless in offering a variety of supportive services. In order to better serve the children that come into the service center, Ascencia was in need of a computer system for homework, research and projects. Computers for a Cause has fulfilled this need by donating an entire computer system for the centers study area. Everyone deserves a chance to better his or her life, and technology can be a powerful tool in achieving that. Ascencia is now better equipped in providing help to those in need.
